Doing it 2,837 times, a confusing email from Audible, and accepting applications for a gay friend

Dear Diary,

Well, my mystery girl hasn’t contacted me back yet, and I would know: I’ve refreshed my email about 2,837 times since I sent my reply to her. I’m really anxious to do this project with her, and I’m seriously considering donating 100% of the profits to RAINN. I don’t write for money, after all, I write out of passion. And I’m very passionate about this. In case you can’t tell.

Though I didn’t receive an email from her, I did receive a confusing email from Audible. Several days ago I wrote them asking why the audiobook version of Phi Beta Pie wasn’t listed on the same page as the eBook and audiobook versions, and here’s what they came back at me with:

Hello Alexa,

Thank you for contacting Audible!

“Phi Beta Pie” is currently not available as a Whispersync for Voice or Immersion Reading-ready audiobook. While there may be several editions of both the Audible audiobook or Kindle eBook, these editions have not been precisely paired and therefore will not sync across devices or work together in any way.

In order for a title to become Whispersync for Voice or Immersion Reading ready, both pieces of content must be paired together and extensively tested to make sure they sync properly.

We are working hard to make all Audible audiobook and Kindle eBook titles eligible for this feature, so please check back later for Whispersync/Immersion Reading eligibility.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

For more information about Whispersync for Voice, please visit our Help Center: http://audible.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4518.

Thank you again for contacting Audible. If you would like additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sincerely,

Saurabh C

So yeah, I have no idea how to remedy this one. Maybe I’ll write back and tell them they were all linked together at one time… I dunno. You’re killing me, Amazon!

Topic switch: I need a gay friend! 😀 I mean, specifically a gay guy friend. I don’t have one. I’ve never had one. I know plenty of lesbians, but no gay guys. I’m serious. I feel like there’s this void in my life. So, I’m accepting applications. Come at me.

As far as The Qedesha’s Handmaiden is concerned, I finished the Green Revision yesterday and today assassinated the Final Version, which means I grammar checked it several different ways and compiled it into an actual eBook. Tomorrow I’ll knock out the paperback version and then leave it alone while I start my next project: The Qedesha Trilogy, a collection of all three Qedesha books, which will be released a while after The Qedesha’s Handmaiden. In fact, since you’re here, I’ll give you a sneak peek at its cover:

So whatchu think? Let me know!

Anyway, after I finished writing this morning I took Anne to her doctor’s appointment and the rest of my day was pretty much chilling in the waiting room waiting for her to be seen. So, nothing else exciting to report. This means I’ll be seeing you all tomorrow…

Goodnight, Alexaliens.

Sleep well.

Thank you! I like it too! As far as Phi Beta Pie goes… it is ALWAYS an uphill battle with that one for some reason. 🤔

Hi Alexa, I guess I won’t be bugging you about this any longer. Sorry to hear it. 🙁

That series cover is really amazing and I want to relive the first story again! It’s a pity that the friend haven’t replied you back.
