Trump. And Cold Water.
It seems like all my social media accounts are being flooded lately with people either for or against Trump as our president and trying their best to make everyone else know (and care about?) their opinion. So many people are casually throwing around statements like “not my president” and posting all kind of derogatory memes and caricatures.
For the record: I was not a Trump supporter when he was running for president. I was not a Hillary supporter, either. I was more a Bernie supporter if anything.
But I am a Trump supporter now.
Why?
Well, it’s really simple: because he is legally our president, and I’m legally an American. Saying he’s not my president is akin to disbelieving air. It doesn’t matter if I acknowledge or validate its existence: it still exists.
Whether you like it or not, Trump is our president. Period.
I don’t want to get too political here, because I’m not a political person, but I do want to say this: think about the direction our country is going to go if we stay divided like this. We have the potential to have another Civil War on our hands here, and the reason for this is something far deeper and more profound than Trump. Trump is merely the poster child for what is truly dividing America, and while I’m not going to get into too much detail here about what that something is, I encourage you all to think about what exactly you’re standing for and what the repercussions for doing so are. So many grown ass adults are acting like spoiled little entitled rich kids, people I thought I knew, whining and throwing a tantrum because they didn’t get their way.
Less than half the country voted. What did you expect?!
Regardless, you only have two choices here: make the best out it (which is what I’m choosing), or snivel and cry until you grow up enough to realize that nothing you do will make a difference in what has already happened.
One way or another, you’ll come to the same conclusion. How fast you get there is entirely up to you.
We are all Americans. We already had one Civil War. We don’t need another.
More important than everything I wrote above, however: we have no hot water. Which means I had to take a cold shower. My brother just shrugged it off like it was nothing, but me?
I was whining and sniveling like the average Trump hater on the internet the entire time.
It was definitely not my sexiest moment. 😀
Anyway, Natalie (my assistant) is here, so I gotta go – we’re going to watch the movie “Wild Card”. Cause Jason Statham.
😛
