I should have known being so productive yesterday would come with a price. I somehow managed to pull a muscle or something in my left hand, so that moving it in even the slightest way hurts like all hell. Anne wrapped it up tight for me, and that’s been helping, but my productivity has definitely been affected by it.
Not that that stopped me.
I pushed through the pain and ended up a little over halfway through the Yellow Revision of Interview With A Werewolf. Of course, Anne decided she wanted to be ratched and put Wild’n Out on during the last half hour of my writing which completely stole my attention, otherwise, I would have accomplished much more (I just told Anne what I wrote, and now she’s back here chanting WILD’N! WILD’N! 😅). As it is I added so much goodness (and freakiness) that it almost isn’t even the same story anymore. The pain was so worth it.
Speaking of freakiness.
I announced Knocking Up The MILF yesterday but didn’t show you guys the cover! Since you’re here, check it out:
By the way, thank you for dealing with my emo-ness yesterday. Luckily days like that don’t happen very often, but when they do my online Diary is a beautiful place to vent. After all, that’s the whole point of a diary, right? To unload your emotional baggage so you don’t have to carry it with you? Well, it worked. I love sharing things with you guys. It makes me feel more connected to you, and since I refuse to pull any punches or gloss over reality when I write an entry, it hopefully gives you the same kind of feeling.
Speaking of feelings. 😍
Amore got a fantastic review today, one that entirely made my day. You can read it yourself here: https://forbiddenwritings.blog/2018/03/27/amore-a-love-story-by-alexa-nichols-a-review/
So awesome. And detailed! Reviews like this are a huge part of why I love being a writer.
And that’s not the only Amore news I received today: it’s being made into an audiobook by the impressive Holly Holt (https://www.acx.com/narrator?p=A2B8H3MLJUTTOF)! Love her. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Anyway, my hand is throbbing, so I’m done for the night. YouTube videos are calling me (I love to unwind to random videos) …
I love you guys.
And as always, thank you for reading. 💖
“At the time I came along, Hollywood’s idea of teen movies meant there had to be a lot of nudity, usually involving boys in pursuit of sex, and pretty gross overall. Either that or a horror movie. And the last thing Hollywood wanted in their teen movies was teenagers!”
