Why I hate passive-aggressive people, The Qedesha’s Handmaiden, and barking like a chicken

3922ba8898b14b933b55064a8acd9234Dear Diary,

I hate passive-aggressive people. With a passion. And I don’t mean hate like most people say hate – a slight dislike overdramatized for effect – I mean literally hate. I just do not understand the point, but then, I’ve always been the type of person to try and confront my problems and fix them as quickly as possible. I mean, what’s the point of having an issue merely float around in the air undealt with? Does it make people feel better about themselves or something? Does it… I don’t even know how to justify whatever logic might be behind it.

It just seems insane to me.

It is also hard for me to deal with, especially when it’s coming from someone that’s twice my age. And before you start rolling your eyes and wondering why I’m spilling out drama, keep in mind that this is my Diary, after all, and I’m allowed to vent into it every once in a while.

I can’t be cheeky and Kimmy Schmidt-like all the time! 😀

Anyway, I finally finished the Red Edit of The Qedesha’s Handmaiden, and you can check it out on my Patreon if you’re on the Initiate, Disciple, Devotee, Scholar, or VIP tier. Even though it’s changed a lot since my last uploading, I’m still not happy with it. It just feels like it needs… more. Something is missing from it, I’m just not sure what it is yet. I have all weekend to figure it out though. Regardless, it is a lot more polished than my last uploading of it, so there’s at least that.

Oh! And you will not believe what this wench Anne told me earlier! I had a sneezing fit for some reason, and Anne asked me why I was barking like a chicken! I laughed so hard I damn near fell out of my chair, no lie. Things like that are why I love this girl – she comes up with the most random, creative things that I would never be able to think of in a million years. That’s why when I’m stuck in a story I get her point of view, and she usually says something so off-the-wall that it ends up sparking my creative side and whatever problem I was having rapidly becomes undone.

I love it. She’s like my muse. ❤

A lot of you are, whether you know it or not. That’s how Killer Lolis was born (a book Anne insists on calling Killer Lilys), and Girl Fight also. Two of my favorite stories, taken from random conversations with my internet homies (and homettes). I’m very fortunate to be surrounded by so many creative people… where have you all been all my life?!

Anyway, the alcohol in my fridge isn’t going to drink itself, so I’m out.

Until tomorrow…

“Tell me how a person judges his or her self-esteem, and I will tell you how that person operates at work, in love, in sex, in parenting, in every important aspect of existence – and how high he or she is likely to rise. The reputation you have with yourself – your self-esteem – is the single most important factor for a fulfilling life.”
